Important: This article includes instructions for updating your account email address and password when you are logged into your account.
- If you cannot access your account because you have forgotten your password, you can review the instructions to reset your password.
- If you are unable to access your account because you don't remember your account email address, please contact Customer Care.
You can update your account password and email address from within your account. To access your account settings, open the account menu by clicking on your profile name and then select Settings.
From this page, you can edit the following information by clicking the Edit or Change Password links:
Please note that if your 23andMe account was set up using a third party service (e.g., Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple®), you will not be able to reset your password through the 23andMe website. Additionally, you will need to unlink your 23andMe account and set a new password before updating your email address in your settings.
